Research Center with the Institute of Pomology and Floriculture in Nowa Wieś

Fruit garden

Established on January 1, 1952 as a subsidiary of the Institute of Pomology and Floriculture in Skierniewice by Eligiusz Gajewski, who studied under the esteemed Prof. Szczepan Pieniążek. The Center conducted scientific research and trained fruit farmers directly in the field. Study results were published in scientific and research journals. The Center promoted horticulture in the region and lobbied for the construction of a fruit and vegetable processing plant in Tarczyn.

The Institute closed in 1998 after the property had been donated to the Tomasz Nocznicki Horticultural School Complex in Nowa Wieś.
