Independent Public Health Care Center in Warka

Hospital

The Independent Public Health Care Center in Warka (Samodzielny Publiczny Zakład Opieki Zdrowotnej w Warce) is almost 70 years old. Initially, it was located at Długa Street in Warka. In the 1960s, it received a new building at Piotr Wysocki Street, which would house doctors’ and nurses’ examination rooms for children and adults, delivery rooms, and a subsection of the Emergency Medical Service. In the late 1980s, the building was expanded and the new infrastructure was made available in the early 1990s.

Until June 30, 1996, the Center was part of the Health Care Complex in Grójec (Zespół Opieki Zdrowotnej w Grójcu). From July 1, 1996 through December 31, 1998, it operated under the name of Warka Town and Municipality Health Care Center (Miejsko-Gminny Zakład Opieki Zdrowotnej w Warce).

The Center started to operate under its current name on January 1, 1999, following Warka Town Council resolution no IV/24/98 from December 9, 1998. The Center has a contract with the National Health Fund (Narodowy Fundusz Zdrowia, NFZ), which allows it to offer publicly funded healthcare services for the insured. It focuses on services rendered by primary care physicians, nurse practitioners, midwives, health practitioners in education, and night, weekend, and holiday healthcare specialists. It also offers long-term care at the homes of the chronically ill provided by nurses, a diabetes clinic, and physical therapy, all funded through the NFZ.

The Center meets its fundamental objectives of providing high-quality medical services and promoting health in connection with primary, secondary, and tertiary care, being attuned to the patient’s needs and expectations. All the Center’s employees work toward one goal, which is the proper care and satisfaction of the patients.
