Cider

Warwin S.A., a Warka-based company producing cider and other beverages, promotes its product with following words: “It is a refreshing alcoholic drink, produced from ripe apples from the heart of the Polish fruit valley on the Pilica River.”

In May 2011, the Chamber of Deputies in the Polish Parliament passed the Act on Production and Bottling of Wine Products, regulating trade in and organization of the wine market in Poland, which allows all individual farmers with an orchard of at least 1 hectare (less than 2.5 acres) to produce cider in the amount of 10,000 liters (well over 2,500 gallons) a year.
