It seemed only logical that the local community have a school which would prepare its youth for the career of a fruit farmer. Nowa Wie\u015b, located 5.5 miles west-north of Warka, seemed the perfect location.<\/p>\n A boarding school opened its doors in 1973. 347 students were divided into four classes of the Fruit Growing Technical School (Technikum Ogrodnicze)\u2013three first-year classes of the Basic Fruit Growing School (Zasadnicza Szko\u0142a Ogrodnicza) and one second-year class relocated from Jasieniec. In September 1978, a Fruit Growing School Complex (Zesp\u00f3\u0142 Szk\u00f3\u0142 Ogrodniczych) was created, encompassing the schools in Nowa Wie\u015b and their subsidiaries, which, in time, became independent or were closed.<\/p>\n In 1983, the Complex was named for Tomasz Nocznicki (1862\u20131944), who was born in the district and became a well-known social activist, deputy, and senator of the Second Polish Republic. The school placed great emphasis on the practical side of education, holding classes at the Fruit Growing Experimental Facility in Nowa Wie\u015b (Sadowniczy Zak\u0142ad Do\u015bwiadczalny w Nowej Wsi) and the Farming Experimental Facility in Krob\u00f3w (Rolniczy Zak\u0142ad Do\u015bwiadczalny w Krobowie) near Gr\u00f3jec.<\/p>\n In the late 20th<\/sup> and early 21st<\/sup> centuries, the Center was often reorganized. In 1997, it was named as the Tomasz Nocznicki Practical Education Center at the Horticultural School Complex (Zesp\u00f3\u0142 Szk\u00f3\u0142 Ogrodniczych Centrum Kszta\u0142cenia Praktycznego im. Tomasza Nocznickiego), and in 2002, the Tomasz Nocznicki Practical Education Center at the Post-Secondary School Complex (Zesp\u00f3\u0142 Szk\u00f3\u0142 Ponadgimnazjalnych Centrum Kszta\u0142cenia Praktycznego im. Tomasza Nocznickiego).<\/p>\n In the school year of 2004\/2005, the Post-Secondary School Complex and the Practical Education Center were separated, with the latter becoming part of the District Lifelong Learning and Vocational Education Center in Gr\u00f3jec (Powiatowe Centrum Kszta\u0142cenia Ustawicznego i Praktycznego w Gr\u00f3jcu) with headquarters in Nowa Wie\u015b.
